Prince Charles, who will be representing the Queen at the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Colombo, November, has decided to stay in at the Bandaranaike Mansion (Tintagel) at Rosmead Place, Colombo while all the other Heads of State will be accommodated at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, local media reported today.
Prince Charles security personnel have already visited the mansion, ' Tintagel' recently to ensure the security of prince.
The age old mansion of Bandaranaike generation was converted into a World Class Luxury boutique hotel sometimes back.
It was originally a property of Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranaike which later transferred the ownership of the mansion for his son, S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, from Dr. Lucian Arnold Emmanuel de Silva.
Later it was called as the Bandaranaike Walauwa.
